Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2008/2009 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The project had nine (9) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to Barber & Associates, the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $95,000.00 and Alternate 3 in the amount of $31,600.00 for a total bid award of $126,600.00.
Financial Impact
The low bidder meeting specifications, Barber & Associates, has a total bid award of $126,600.00. These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
